So i think i might be the first astronaut in rust. I laid foundations over my sleeping bag, died and when i respawned I was shot into the atmosphere, managed to get a couple of screenshots on way up, i died just after the last pic. so these pictures are the closest to a map for the server (or seed 6738) If you look to the middle you will see a box this was my base i was making it's 16~x12~ blocks (this should still be there) Oh and my big maze i built just before the last server wipe
Was there a way you did this. Tried the other day. When respawned, it just put me on the base. Also is it me or is the map spherical? I.e. a tiny planetoid?
is it me or is the map spherical? I.e. a tiny planetoid?
a few updates back i got bored and swam as far into the ocean as i could. turns out you CAN swim off the edge of the earth..but the water goes on and on;)
Maybe they stop creating underwater terrain X meters from anything above sealevel. If you kept swimming it would eventually appear again (theory wise). This is all based on his third picture above. There is a distinct curved surface blocking the stars. It cant be just a circular plane with the curvature we see along the edges We need the Rust Columbus. If it is such. IF. The people who complain about the night can live in the pole areas in a colder biome. As long as this world doesn't wobble, it should always be twilight for them.
