Question for RUST developers...
Would any of my programming skills (python, java, tcl...) be any use for you guys?
If you need some help, I could offer you some of my free time. It's a win-win situation for both of us, you will get some help and I will get some experience ;)
Get back to me, and I'll provide more info about my skills if required.
It is unity engine, so I don't which language it uses.
If you know how to program Java, then Unity should be a piece of cake.
The main obstacle would be that, in order to program in Unity, you would first need to get your hands on Unity, which costs about $1,500.
this game made me pick up unity, once 3rd party servers come out i plan to mess with the game then, i dont think i could be any use as of yet. but for the time being pick up the free version of Unity, its still pretty useful and you can learn

Didn´t know these are available.
I would definetly recommend looking into this as Unity is a great tool to program games such as Rust.
the free version doesnt used deffered lighting, lacks some AI pathfinding, a few bells and whistles, but the core is there to learn. and also you can get a 30 day free trial to unity pro

must get it then to at least familiarise with the framework
unity has tutorials on its site which are extremely helpful starting off, even has a full game you can build through a set of tutorials with free assets. (you would need to download the 30 day free trial of pro for the STEALTH tutorial, as some key features needed are pro only)
Of course if you had lived in a country where downloading is perfectly legal, how great would that be?
The Netherlands is such a country and I happen to live there. :v:
