• We have a situation - cupboards / wall hacks?

Hi, I played some new RUST, and I encountered a weird situation. I had a house with 2 cupboards (about 15 meters away from each other), each completely walled off inside a 1x1 made of stone walls (sides, top, bottom). Yesterday I found it to be taken over by someone else. Visually there is no sign of breaking, as the stone walls are still there surrounding the cupboard, but the cupboards are no more authorized to me. How did they managed to do so? Can stone walls be destroyed? My understand was is not possible. With this assumption, have the cupboard being hacked by removing wall textures or such? By the way in the same area, there are two guys who are shooting from inside a rock formations (part of landscape), like if they clipped inside the rock, and they can see outside.
similar thing happened to me 3 times over 3 nights with 3 unraidable bases [editline]21st January 2015[/editline] they abandoned legacy because they couldn't control the cheaters, now that the new rust is getting near to the popularity of legacy the hack makers are targeting the new version and facepunch are again unable to stop the cheaters ruining the game for everyone else.
They aren't cheaters. Someone smashed down the walls and rebuilt them.
Stone walls can be destroyed with a group of 2-3 people who are VERY heavily armed. For example, a group of 3 people firing assault rifles at a wall NONSTOP for about 15-20 seconds will break the wall. If there is space underneath the foundation with the cupboard, it is also sometimes possible to crawl under and see the foundation from underneath. My friend built his house in a cave, and getting under his foundations was ez because a few of them were elevated off the ground. When you stand up you clip into the foundation and can use the cupboard thru it. Not saying this is what happened to you, but its possible under certain conditions
.Walls on the ground floor can be destroyed yes but what if you put cupboard on fourth floor then as you went to fourth floor to sleep the night you dismantled all stairs to fourth floor? so raider would need to super jump to get up as you cannot build to raid with the cupboard in place on 4th floor. [editline]21st January 2015[/editline] this is what happened to me

But... if that's true, then those same 3 people could raid nearly every base. How many bullets will be used? How expensive is to shoot for 15-20 seconds with a rifle?

The 3 of us that did that had admin rights so we had all the bullets we needed(trust me the guys deserved it). I have no doubt that a group of 3 people could get what they need tho, as long as you know how to craft gunpowder and bullets and time. We also tried meleeing the wall with different weapons and that didn't really seem to work. I should mention that it's possible to do this with 2 people, but it takes a LOT longer which means more bullets over all. The more people who are shooting at the wall tho, the quicker so groups above 3 could probably only need about 200+ bullets and not much time at all.
this is why i play on official servers only [editline]22nd January 2015[/editline] on official servers without cheating admin, assault rifles and bullets are extremely rare
A buddy and I broke down a stone wall last night in about 5 mins with a salvaged axe and a metal hatchet. After that we tried a wood house, no luck on any wall. The we tried another stone house and no luck on any wall. I have no idea what's affecting wall damage but it seems totally random. We also removed every foundation from a 4 story building and the place just stayed there. All the floors from 2 and above just floated there.
Metal hatchet seems to be the best on walls. Three guys with metal hatchets = nothing is safe. There is a problem with floating structures, though. Demolish the lower floors and the upper ones just hang out there.
Wall regen rates are higher once your wall takes damage. easy way to stop/slow raiders is to have every wall/floor tapped afew times. Even 2 ppl with salvaged axe cant go thru wood once ya do that.
