Simple idea and one we often see in survival scenarios, sound traps.
So these would be devices that when someone or something walks into or over them, they make a sound. These could be:
1. aluminum cans hanging from strings
2. bones hanging from strings
3. twigs on the forest floor
4. leaf piles
5. bushes with rustling leaves
6. empty shotgun shells hanging from strings
7. glass shards
I think they would be a seriously cool addition to the game. If a sound trap (like a twig snapping) is triggered nearby a wild animal, it'll run off, making the (shamefully) easy hunting a bit harder. Nearby zeds will be attracted to the noise. Nearby players will hear the noise and know that something is out there. Sound traps could be crafted with various materials and hung between two points on a wall or pillar, or hung from one point on a ceiling.
If you're in the forest, sound traps (twigs, leaf piles, bushes) will be randomly generated all around you. You can avoid them by watching where you place your feet. The towns could have things like shattered glass on the floor.
Thoughts?
Zeds?

Zombies
Well there has been talk that Garry will add traps. Sound traps might not be that efficient unless you are waiting in your house to get raided, Zombies are getting removed also.
(And wth there's no D in ZOMBIES "ZeDs"

Plenty of uses, even with zombies getting removed. They will make hunting harder and add a new dynamic to attack and defense.
