"The way loot spawns has been changed. Previously you’d always find boxes in the same position and most of the time they were empty."
I spent a lot of time before this patch running in to rad towns beating on dressers, beds and cupboards before finding out the loot was just in random barrels scattered across the map and not actually in rad towns. Did they add lootable containers/boxes in rad towns now? I won't be able to check out the additions until Sunday so any information is greatly appreciated.

Yeah they added lootable containers that once looted actually disappear. Before this patch you would loot them and then the loot would never respawn as the entity never was removed and recreated (atleast in my dedicated server). Found a hatchet blueprint in the 1st chest so they improved loot rate too. :) Hope this helps.
