Steam reports don't cause bans. VAC doesn't take reports. EAC doesn't take reports. The devs will server-ban offenders on official servers when they investigate reports over Twitter.
ok thank you

It would be a very nice sticky since on the post that initially had this, someone asked for official verification and was not responded to by anyone "official". Most people don't know to check all the devblogs, read all the forums, or the forum rules for that matter.

People don't read forum stickies either so that won't help. There used to be a rules sticky, and now there isn't because nobody read it.
And there was no "official" response to the forum thread because the devblog went up the very next day explaining it exactly, just as I predicted in that exact thread. The devs have more important things to do than to sit around on the forums all day and pat people on the head.
People do read stickies. Thanks for clarifying what important things the devs do. I was offering a suggestion and it of course was squashed by the "unofficial" rust moderator.
Please get off your pedestal and realize people don't live on these forums and most post out of frustration, only to be voted dumb, autistic, or given crappy replies by you.
If English wasn't my first language I would think you were a staff member and really give bad word of mouth regarding the game and company due to the forums.
but fyi we did have a massive rules sticky in this forum at one point listing all the ways you can get banned. It didn't help though because they didn't read it, so o well back to bans we went.
No, they don't. This isn't my opinion, this is the opinion of the mod that moderates this section the most out of the mod team.
People do read stickies.
a very small percentage of people read stickies. when the rule stickies were there, people continued to break the very obvious rules. people continued to ask questions answered in the first page of the sticky. they don't work here, because often the people posting have 1-10 posts and don't care about how the forum runs, or if something has been discussed a thousand times, they just want an easy answer.

we had seperate forums for everything in rust. people couldn't figure out where to post things, and they got removed. keep it simple.
