Ridiculously broken. Rust is just turning from bad to worse. Barrels are everywhere, and these wolves seem to be excessively autistic, fast as bloody hell...
If you see a wolf just as close as four steps away from you, prepare your goddamn anus for some real heavy ass bleedin' because there's no chance you're going to survive the big penetrating anal.
Sincerely,
ManwelB
I agree. I hate those goddamn fucking wolves. 1 moment you're walking ,the next your getting butfucked by a wolf who's biting the fuckin air. Well played Garry, well played....

This game is in development. Things will suck! Things will be good! At the moment wolfs give you something to fear. Wolfs also help kill players who try to kill you. The barrels are place holders. They want people to explore the map. Nothing in this stage is permanent... All we are doing is testing the game as they build it. *** expect things to be "ridiculously" broken.

Hi Mr.KnowsItAll, the game has been in development for a very long time, and things which are good are being changed and made worse. On the other hand, there's been things which have been improved. Experimental has been up for a long time, lots of things have changed and wolves were good the way they were before. Have you, by any chance, played the goddamn game or not? Because from what I can see, it seems like you haven't played it at ALL!
I agree with Manwelb. Yes, the game is still in development, but certain aspects shouldn't be changed. It's hard enough in many PvP servers trying to survive against high level players. Now, you have to worry about staying five miles away from a wolf, or, unless you're armed, you're screwed. That means that now, nakeds will find it harder to start out. And the barrels are just full of bullshit and good luck finding something that's actually good. Just the same crap over and over again.
OP wolves are good, don't leave your base unprepared.
Its a survival game. Survive.
Wolves don't bother me... last week I had one under my foundation that kept killing me, other than that... they are not hard to kill with a spear.
Wolves are not hard to kill. Have to watch where your going. They spawn mostly in grassy area's making it easy to guess where they will be. Right now they attack you when they are not visible to you. That is the main issue I have which will be fixed because the game is still being developed. I don't play this game like nothing will get wiped with a update because they only come out every 5 months or something ;)
Just fucking make a wooden spear and jab the wolf in the eye. If you're naked you have nothing to lose so get over it. Above all, don't be bad.
Yeah it's great that they are a threat but also that they can be killed with a basic weapon... however would appreciate some more warning that one is about to thrust its muzzle up your butt hole, perhaps some louder growling and general wolfie sounds?
How to survive wolves:
Stop, look, and listen. Don't go in the woods at night. Try running around in the snow or desert until you have better weapons and armor.
See a wolf? Run up and kill it with your spear in 2 hits - lose about 15-20 health. Chop it up, cook it, repeat.
I haven't been killed by a wolf in a looong time.

yeah, aggro animations/sounds would be useful. i presume it's eventually in the works:)

Hi Mr.oafish, All Your Base Are Belong to Us.
What I hate isn't really the wolves being fast, what I REALLY hate is the fact that sometimes you DON'T EVEN SEE THEM, you're walkin' around and your health starts decreasing in chunks. You don't even notice what's doing the damage until you look back.
Last time I was playing on this server, got an airdrop and had tons of items but forgot to make a spear, I didn't know they were THAT fast but I knew some changes had been done to them and KABOOM, ran and ran and ran but it was no use...
Thanks for the advice frank_walls.

Have you tried walking around in third-person? When I am looking for resources I hit F3 for third-person. You can hear when the wolf/bear are running at you. Do you play with headphones on? I stay away from heavy bushy areas.... :quagmire: I always check the place I spot out and make sure it's clear before I run in and start choppin. If a wolf spawns well... Nothing can be done but killing it.

Yeah, I play with my headphones on. Bushes... oh please stahp :D They like to play hide and seek in the bushes ;)
Look, Speitzack, you have a point. If you play with headphones and be extra careful, you can escape having an encounter against a wolf. But tell me, since when has rust been all about evading silent invisible wolves, who have magic air biting abilities? You are trying to justify a glitch, a mistake. In fact, you're almost making it seem like it's nothing, as if it's something you should just accept about rust. The truth is, it's not. And even if we were to forget the wolves, can you please tell me why about six moths into development, there is invisible water, when, just a few weeks ago, there wasn't? The list could go on and on. Yes, it still is in development, but I paid $18 for it. I paid that money to play a game which had some pretty nice features, and instead, I'm playing this shit. Every month, more things are implemented, and more and more glitches come out, giving us a buggy piece of shit. I would rather wait a month for an update, and have the new features not buggy and working fine, instead these weekly disappointments. I would rather just have a fucking hatchet and nothing else but a non glitchy environment, and good performance, instead of all the weekly implemented shit and play that shitty result. I want my money's worth. Period. You can't expect me to just ignore the fact that I a god damn hour gathering resources, only to die via invisible teleporting wolves, because of rushed work and carelessness. This does NOT mean I hate Rust. And I expect that there be some glitches. I'm just saying that I am not happy with this 1 step forward 2 steps back bullshit. If your're gonna put something in the game, do it right. I don't want to spend my time finding a shit load of glitches. Get it right the first time.
Sincerely,
z1glax

"can you please tell me why about six moths into development, there is invisible water, when, just a few weeks ago, there wasn't?"
Simple, The game is not complete. This game is in development and stuff will change all throughout it.
This is what you get when you play a game in development. I don't understand why people can't comprehend this. We all paid money to basically be testers.
