How much time do you wait by the face?
It usually takes about a minute for me before joining.

I usually wait for 2 mins then i get a dialog box from chrome saying the player has crash do i want to stop it i click [B]No[/B] and then its another 2 mins and im in.

It takes a minute or two to completely load, then it just stops at a gray facepunch screen.
Well, the server youre attempting to join is down at the moment(US East). So that might be the reason why the game hasn't loaded. Try a different server.

Update: It now shows a building with a beast's shadow in the background.
Been a problem since last Friday.
That seen you see now I have seen just once... I believe it's shown when you are already logged into your account and try to login again. I saw it when I tried to login by mistake from 2 computers in different browsers.
