Been running Rust servers almost since release and game servers for 11 years now but and have been through multiplay,FPSPlayers, Revolt, and of course gameservers.com. Decided to rent a VM so I'd have full control over my server and files( I'rn oxide) but the VM idea is not working well. Getting terrible performance . I know I talked to another company tha I saw someone in here mention once and liked what they offered but I can't remember their name at all. To make a long story medium I'm looking for recommendations to a good new-Rust host that supports Oxide. Thx in advance for ay suggestions. Look to move my server asap.
Hi,
Yes, just forget about the VMs for a rust server. You'll always end up with issues related to the shared underlying hardware being used by other VMs and generating lags/delays.
Just rent a dedicated server.
I'm myself a customer of *** and I am very satisfied with their network/hardware infrastructure. The costs are low and the quality is high.
They have a pretty big network and datacenters all over the world.
Because you are in the USA you can request a Canadian server. The ping should be OK since their Canadian datacenter is (I think) pretty well connected to the US networks.
Just ask privately if you want to know who *** is. (I'm not sure I can "advertise" on the forum)
