Hello Facepunch
I have had this idea in my mind for quite a bit time now.
Why is it that we can not destroy an item and get like half the materials back that was originally used to craft it?
Lets say if I have a burlap shirt that I do not want to use anymore. I could simply tear it up and gain a bunch of cloth back that can be used for other items to craft.
This could be a feature done with every items like weapons, gear etc. I imagine it will fit in the Rust concept perfectly.
Of course if the item is already near its break point with low durability, it will be a very small amount of items to collect if you choose to destroy it.
Has anyone else had this particular idea?
it's been suggested before a few times, but i agree that breaking down items for their resources is a very useful idea:)
atleast this idea would clear like 2 boxes in my house with clothing that no one uses
