Why does this server go down for long periods of time so often...
i presume official server? they all do, regularly. it's because they are constantly updating versions, and become incompatible with the current client.

No this server is different. This one goes down frequently and for long periods of time. I play on this server and it doesn't seem to behave like other official servers.

Agreed, it goes down for 10-12 hours at a time least twice a week.
it's probably a combination. updating and maybe real issues on top. either way, there's not much that can be done about it:/

I have been playing rust for a couple months and I rarely see the servers get updated more than twice a week. Hot patches are one thing, but when I first started playing I was on Washington and the performance and reliability were poo. I switched to Seattle.
Server has been down all night again, if this server host is having so many problems is it possible to just move it to a more stable datacenter?
