It's just a little frustrating. I'm home from work today because of a sick kid, so I thought I'd check it out. I added a server to my favorites before I got off, but it's just not a thing. Whitelist maybe? But, that's empty too, and so is history. Why?
I took a picture, so I wouldn't forget it's name. But, the search doesn't work either. I guess I should have gotten the IP, but come on, I really shouldn't have to do any of this, besides adding it to favorites.
OK, so I found a person that was on the server I was in in my recent list of players, I think they are still on, and I tried net.connect *serverIP* - not trying to advertise here, but it tells me the command is unrecognized? even more frustrated now.
the command you need is
client.connect xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:xxxxxx
There is a new UI coming which will probably improve the history/favorites issues.
Just for future reference, until server browser is fully functional, you can search for servers by name at playrusthq.com .

You can also add servers to your Favourites by logging in, finding the server and clicking 'Add Favourite'. It'll show under the 'My Favourites' link (hover over Log Out).
Good work-around for now.
This has always puzzled me. IIRC favorites didn't work well in Legacy, though it's been months since I've been there. Seems like this would be the most trivial aspect of Rust to deal with.
