I've been practicing using pick axe on animals I was hunting, and noticed that trying to hit with melee is not as intuitive as it should be. Even trying to harvest a creature on the ground. I'm having to constantly reposition myself to get the harvest finished.
Is it me, or are others finding the hitboxes are not intuitive?
I have this issue with Wood and Stone too. The hitboxes seem to be uneven. I'll be as close to the resource node as is physically possible, but it won't hit. I'll have to move to a different angle and/or crouch.
I just figured it's something that will be surely fixed as time goes on...
agreed. besides arrows flying straight through a wolf or bear without hitting it, hatchet-ing them on the ground is probably at an all time low. (standing over it is too high, but crouching down is too low and goes right through) i'm sure it will be improved in the near future.
