Hi folks,
How do i get my hands on serverfiles to host a Rust server?
I have access to the needed hardware and infrastructure in central EU and would like to setup a server with a bunch of friends.
Cheers and thanks for any helpful replys.
Only authorized server providers can get one up. It's a similar system to the one EA does with Battlefield.
Check out the providers here:

The answer is no.
how do you become a hosting provider
Wow..
I was googleing and noticed that it seemed they actually DIDN'T gave a f*** about linux servers like the last time, just to find out it is commercialized to the brink. FML.
Paying about 250$ for an incredibly powerful dedicated Server. Does that sound like I want to rent a gameserver for 50$?!
I was like yay, linux servers to host, take all my money. Bah. Terribly disappointed.
Sorry to open up an old thread, but I'm assuming this is now available to community hosting?
I'm the same as q23p. Don't game developers understand that not everyone hosts from a GSP? Communities that are serious about growing have Dedicated Servers and do all the work them self, due to the fact that most GSP's are not reliable enough. It's the same with Battlefield as you said, I hope it's not the same with Rust.
EDIT: Okay so I've just done some more research and found that you need a code to be able to actually run the server? Can anyone clarify this for me? Can you host a Rust server of a dedicated server, or do you have to be a GSP?
Sorry, you need to Log In to post a reply to this thread.
