Player has been spamming over 24 hours straight in Official Rust Server: North America 2 no PVP

Now of course people spam chat all the time, which is expected. But I have never seen anyone spam chat like this guy ever. During the last week roughly that I have been on this server, this guy has spammed a majority of the time. At first he would just ask someone if they would let him copy the explosives gel, and when they said no, or that they didn't have that recipe, he would start spamming for hours at a time. Regardless of what people said, even if they constantly asked him nicely to stop, he refused to stop spamming. And from what an in game friend told me yesterday, the players on the server were so frustrated that they raided his base, well that set him off, and he literally hasn't stopped spamming since then, in fact he is on there right now spamming still. Basically what that does is completely fill the bottom left fourth of the screen with a wall of text. Which makes it hard to play, because your screen is constantly obstructed. Also makes it very difficult to see what other players are trying to chat about. I told him the other day that if he continued to do this that people would report him to steam, and he could be banned for this. He told me he had been spamming on this server for the past 6 months, and that steam does not ban for reports. Sure enough I looked it up and he is right, steam does not ban for reports. So does anyone know if there is a place to officially report him for this abusive behavior? I saw about 50-100 players come into the server, and then leave the server, because they could not deal with the constant screen obstruction, and I don't blame them. All day yesterday I was constantly informing people how to disable the chat, so that they would stay on the server and not leave due to his behavior. One of the problems is if you disable chat, you cant see what anyone says, but the main problem is that a minimum of 50 people on the server are required so that airdrops will drop. But at no point yesterday did the server get to 50 players, due to this guy spam chatting. This guy must be using some kind of third party program to spam the chat like that without interruption for over 24 hours.

Maybe the Devs could add some type of system to at least allow players on the server to mute a particularly abusive player, from spamming chat, or even mute their mic's. Another annoying thing people do in this game is follow you with their music blasting thru there mic's. Which is funny at first, until they continue to do it for any length of time, and then its just gets annoying. And you end up having to turn the volume of your game way down, because there is no volume level on the voip in this game. In fact I do not even know if you can disable voip in this game at all, which means you are forced to listen to all the offensive things that people in Rust say. And anyone who has played this game before, knows just how offensive those things can be. Maybe as a temporary fix you could add chat spamming time limit. For instance if someone was spamming chat for 10 minutes straight, then their chat would be disabled for a certain period of time. And that time period would get extended longer and longer, the more they continued to spam. As everyone knows there are no Admins on official servers, so we really really really need some kind of system in place that allows us to admin ourselves, such as a voting system. Or maybe a console command, to allow us to mute individual players from chat or voip.

On a side note, right before I was going to log off the server last night, the server was rubber banding really bad, and actually shut itself down and reset itself. Not sure if it was due to his chat spamming, or if he actually ddos's the server, but just thought I would mention it. I do not know if excessive chat spamming is enough to lag the server out that much for it to crash the server. Anyhow if this is not the official way to report someone I apologize, I could not figure it out. If there is another place I should be reporting this at, please direct me to the proper place. I am on the server as well. He is still spamming as of 8:11pm EST.

Sadly that spammer iv seen doing that since i started playing almost a year ago now. Im not so sure they care.

Yep, I think his personal best was about 4 days straight? People keep leaving that server simply because of one person.
