Hello all, Recently just bough a server for rust and have been thinking of ideas to change the game so that there is actually something to do in game. My recent thought for a server was having a great escape server. This type of server would have 1 Very large Jail built on the map, every player (Except Wardens) would be placed into this jail and giving a room (each/share) depending on the amount of players active on the server. The objective would be to escape the jail and hideout in the map for as long as possible, players that do escape can come back to the Jail and try and free the others (Blowing Walls Etc) players that do escape will have a manhunt group (Wardens) search the map on a time scale basis if killed in the map the player will be returned to Jail, it's the objective of the player escaping to survive in the map without being hunted, they can build bases etc and fight with other players that have escaped, the loser of any outside battle (not wardens) will be placed back into the jail and will need to escape all over again. Escape: There will be loot stored throughout the Jails in many areas that will provide the player a chance to escape (C4 blueprints, F1 Grenade Blueprints) a workbench will be placed but will be closely watched, player can build there own but these will be destroyed if a warden finds them and all loot that player has on them removed (Killed Player Bag Looted, player placed into 1x1 cell no doors for a period of 5 minutes) Areas of the jail will be poorly made with wooden doors, pillars and areas where a player can maze through the jail and escape. If a person escapes they cannot suicide - this will spawn them back at jail once in jail the again cannot suicide as the function will be disabled. Resource finding: The yard will have resources placed for player to be able to collect Doors: If a player dies in the Jail they will drop the key for there door, this will be time activated and if another player finds the correct door they may enter and take the players loot, If a warden is killed they will drop a key which will open all doors to all rooms this is also time activated so the person better be quick and only open doors that they think will help them escape. PVP: The Jail will be full PVP for everyone inside (includes Warden) if player are caught killing wardens they will be KOS by any other warden (better make your door choices quick and hide) Monitoring: Wardens will monitor the jail for suspicious or attempts to escape (Player caught hitting wooden doors, escaping, building walls, foundations pillars etc will be KOS and moved to solitary for 5 minutes) That is about all I can come up with regarding the idea, didn't want to progress the idea further until I got some sort of feedback.
I like it and i would join a server like this and bring friends if it existed.
