When I open rust experimental in steam it loads then nothing happens. Whenever I look in task manager it says suspended. I'm running windows 8.1. I've tried reinstalling rust but it didn't work. Is there a way I can fix this?
Restart your computer, and then try running Rust.exe in the experimental folder manually and see what happens.
Separately, try running RustClient.exe directly from the folder. Note: If it loads this time, you will be kicked within 20 seconds of joining any experimental server because launching the client this way bypasses loading EAC, but it will (in theory) let you load the title screen and all without problem without EAC. There is no permanent harm in doing this, you'll just be kicked from servers for not running EAC when they expect it if you join them.
What are your system specs (CPU, RAM, video card), and what version is your graphics driver? (xxx.xx for Nvidia, xx.xx for AMD)
I restarted my computer, updated Rust, and updated my graphics driver and rust started working again thanks for the help.
