Can we post all the tricks and tips we know in here? For example the shift click the reseacrh kit to research it, or the shift craft click or cntrl clik thing? Lets help out those noobs with some tricks!
You could start by being a little more descriptive with your tips...
If you shift-click the '+' in the crafting menu then you will increase the craft count by 10
If you ctrl-click the '+' in the crafting menu then you will increase the craft count to the max.
(may have these backwards, but you get the idea)
You are able to research a research kit if you hold down shift while researching it
You can create leather from cloth by putting it in the furnace

Its also a good idea to make more than one exit from your base. With only one door its easy for anyone to come along and box that door in and prevent you from using that base or anything inside of it.
here is a little tip, while building your house, make lots and lots of doors.
so that the raiders will be both confused, will have hard time to find good loot,
and will be forced to spend lots of C4.
another tip, when you are constantly raided by a group and you are familiar with it,
and know where their base is, make some C4 and Iron Doors, and Large Wooden Spikes,
go to their base, blow up all the doors of entrance on the lower floor, and replace them with your own doors.
After that place the wooden spikes in front of the doors.
That will hold them back for a while...

Enough that it's probably not really worth trying.
I'm guessing it would be about 40 plus though?
Lol yea probably something like that... maybe not quite that many but still a lot.
The problem isn't just the quantity, it can be difficult to get the grenades to blow up [B]right[/B] next to the door... It's especially difficult (aka almost impossible) if the door is at the top of some stairs.
for that you can place a large wood storage with a tiny gap from the door, throw the grenade into the hole and boom accurate nade :)
Something that I do when building a base that isn't well hidden (large and out in the open) is lining the outer walls w/ wood barriers on the inside to keep people from getting a rough idea of where my loot stashes are. It sacrifices a little more wood and a little more space, but I like the added shroud from creeps that it provides.
