• Do survival and dust emerging from walking go together?

Just something that i've been paying a lot of attention lately and that's kind of started to bother me a lot in the game. The ground dusting animation that's present everytime you move regardless if you're crouched, walking or running. Specially during the night time, it's nearly as good of a beacon as the torch to point where a person is. When actually walking the ground needs to be really really dry for a dust of that amount to emerge. None the less, the most important part about is the fact that the even though your character might not be visible to other players the dust is. You can see that very very far away and it's basically giving away your position, even if you're crouched and hiding inside a bush, trying to avoid fully armed players, or just setting up a trap for other players or whatever. Even turning around crouched causes the dust to emerge and it's highly visible. How do you guys feel about it, is it too much? Would the game experience be better without it? Limit to the sand and desert parts? Limit the range how far it's visible?
yeah it is too much, i used to think the same about the dust from hammering walls. That was Dust Over Kill. I guess they might turn it down at some point.
I think what they usually say, is that it is alpha. Not sure what that post has to do with the OP. Idk if the dust is dependent on graphics settings or not because I never notice it unless it's my own footsteps (I play on very low population servers). I have to agree here also, its pretty silly how much dust is kicked up. Even when walking in a desert or beach you wouldn't create that much. However I'm fine with it being low on the priority list tho, since it's a pretty minor thing unless you actually need to survive.
