With the introduction of explosives i think it is pretty imperative that they introduce collision in 3rd person view so people cannot walk around your house looking through walls to see the best location to place explosives. It makes absolutely no sense to allow people to see through walls. It was annoying before but now its going to be completely game breaking with explosives being added. Just my thoughts.
Is it a server option yet? I never understood why it was introduced.
I don't know, I've never encountered a server that i couldn't go in 3rd person on.
yeah.. they need to fix this before implementing explosives.. fo sho
I love 3rd person, please dont take it out! The camera just needs to get stuck on walls instead of going through them. I am sure the Devs know about this, as it is a super common exploit.

I don't see how you could possibly eliminate all the camera angles that make 3rd person problematic, like looking around corners, etc. Apparently some folks really really want it (feel free to express yourself in text, neil), but making it a server option would be nice even if they fix the clipping issues. I for one wouldn't want to play on a server that allowed it.
I like 3rd person view, but honestly it has nothing to do in a survival game like Rust, I shouldn't be able to look around corners or get that kind of overview.
