Yay, everyone stop complaining about no c4, and begin complaining the walls are too weak. Yay
I'm sure the team said something along the lines of "lets just add c4 to make all the kiddies stfu for a while" but sadly I don't think anything will do that. Altho seeing the team pump out content this quickly is really impressive, and they really deserve some peace and quiet.
Once we have roads....I will be ecstatic!

Well, based on the news at Rustified, they will have more time with releases now going to Monday. Have to say I am not a fan. Servers wipe on release day (typically, since the changes lately have required it). Now instead of having the weekend to get your start on a new server, the weekend will be the last day or two before the wipe instead.
It would be hilarious if everyone had the blueprint for it like how we used to have all the weapons. I'd love to spend a week in a C4 hellhole!

This is quite nice. Didn't expect to see them in so quickly. Now, we just need to have walls rebalanced for it (which will happen over time) and have the blueprint pretty rare/hard to obtain (like only in airdrops). This shit needs to be end game material, not something any person can find by just smashing a barrel.

Airdrops become such a massacre and are controlled by large groups with guns that it's harder for solo players or small groups to get any.
Yeah, that was the problem with C4 in legacy. Easy to get, easy to craft, and within a few hours a solo player could wreak havoc on a server. A team of 3-4 could wipe a server (except for foundations and pillars!). There are a few sensible balances that would improve gameplay: Increase the risk of using C4. Use C4, and it might destroy / burn any loot nearby. This increases the risk of destroying the loot of a successful raid. Increase the damage circle of C4. Instead of blowing out a wall, it blows out the wall, foundation, and often a few other cells nearby. This increases the chance of causing a structural collapse, which increases the risk of destroying / reducing loot. Give C4 a risk of pre-detonation. After all, we're dealing with homemade detonators here. Surely some of them are prone to shorts, surges, and misfires. Have the pre-detonation roll at usage. This increases the risk of using C4. These wouldn't do away with the destructive power of C4, but would help moderate their usage. It would reduce the likelihood of returning to the days of the Legacy C4 Deadlocks. Give them in barrels or whatever replaces barrels in the future.

I dont think the added hitpoints are live yet. They will probably come with the C4.

Explosives should be very expensive to make as the balance, rather than just having a hard to find blueprint. Balance needs to be based on a long game strategy, not a race to see who can find it first.
With C4 implemented and no wall regeneration, waterbuildings should become more popular. Did anyone playing on Dev try out if C4 works under water as well?
