Hi guys, new player to Rust here, literally just got the game, got it running earlier today. Came back later and I was getting freezes and crashes at the start up of the game in the Loading Items / Loading EAC. Fixed that by going into my steam folder and Rust folder finding both Steam.exe and Rust.exe, right clicking, properties, compatibilty, Always Run as Admin. As well as running both as administrator from there respective folders instead of shortcuts. Now after solving the issue of the freezing / crashing at the start up and the game randomly closing down I came across the issue of joining a server just to get Disconnect EAC: EAC Disconnect error. So I've Run the EAC Setup in the folder as administrator, and uninstalled/reinstalled. Restarting Rust and Steam, by running both from their respective .exe as Administrator to still come across the same error. I have tried to reinstall steam, re-format, reinstall rust. Verified Integrity of Game Cache. As well as deleting the folders and files inside of the Rust folder called, eac0.bin, the rust.exe, and steamappid folder. I am running a windows 7 64 bit ultimate OS, i7-3770k, AMD Radeon 7850, 16gb's of ram. I have mem tested, I have HDD tested. I have done LITERALLY everything I know of to do, and what i have seen so far in the passed 6 hours of attempting to fix this game. Please any help is greatly appreciated.
EDIT: Also after deleting the folders eac0.bin, rust.exe, abd steamappid I did verify my game cache.
After last patch, I also have EAC disconnect, 1st time in 3 years. Cant play at all
same here. but just once for now.
I had this problem for a while, but my fix was deleting and reinstalling it through the steam library.
I assume you did that already
Since the last update this happens to me and my friend as well, but it only happens once or twice after starting rust, after that it's fine.
