This is a silly little idea I thought could be entertaining for many online games, but I thin kit would work very well in rust mostly for story telling purposes.
How about an item (Finger Print Duster) which you could use on weapons that lists all the previous owners?
Maybe you could also use the item on your boxes to see who raided your camp?
But perhaps it isn't a good idea, what are your thoughts?
Yeah... because in the post apocalyptic world we're going to worry about taking fingerprints, and maintaining a fingerprint directory.
I don't think this fits Rust even slightly, no.
EDIT: The thing about good game design is that all features really should exist to support the core gameplay.
Right now, all of the features of Rust exist for the core gameplay of Survival. Finger print dusting does not support the core gameplay in any way.
Yeah beacuse we got CSI style database in ur heads and we can zoom endless time to see the piece of soil on blueprint that definies where the person is coming from and automaticaly locates him/her on the world map and sends lasor beam to him/her
I agree it's a dumb idea, that's why I said so myself. I just thought the idea of knowing the previous owners of weapons or knowing who raided your base could be interesting. As I have had the most fun in rust trying to be friendly with my neighbors, and writing down hit lists of players I want to get revenge on. Unfortunately, as you have expressed, it doesn't work with the fiction at all.
I like the idea but don't think it fits. +2pts for creativity!
hehe, i do like the idea.
