It would be nice if you could craft throwing axes and spears, Maybe some bolas to give a temporary movement speed penalty to runners.
Being able to pick up arrows that have been fired and throwing weapons that have been thrown would be neat as well.
I would also like to throw rocks at cars like im 7 if cars ever come about. ( cant do this anymore now that im 9 )

Who in real life would be able to throw an axe or a spear skillfully enough to actually do bodily harm to another person. Unless you work at the renaissance faire you are not going to be able to do jack shit.

Im sure it would hurt to have anything thrown at you if it weighed as much as an axe reguardless of its landing position. If you haven't noticed already the game isn't brutally realistic, i don't know anyone who can make guns or kevlar out of metal fragments. If we were to care who in real life could do this or that then the game would be ridiculously plain.

An axe, maybe not (though the only thing making that difficult is getting the spin right so the blade hits them) but practically anyone could throw a spear (or a javelin in this case I guess) well enough to hurt someone with a little practice. They used to do it all the time a long time ago because it was easy to make/use and very effective at short range.
Also, as has already been mentioned, it doesn't really matter if someone could do it irl. That's just how games are. Perfect accuracy with guns at any kind of range is a pretty rare trait too but everyone in the game has it.

I think I found your problem with the game already.
Second, I already suggested spears. And bolas take even MORE skill than spears which actually aren't that hard to throw with decent accuracy (after a couple days of practice).

Axes and spears are pretty easy to throw.. I don't understand how this would be a problem for anyone... as far as bolas, I've never used them so i can't comment.

Bolas take a LOT of practice and on top of that, they aren't meant for combat, but rather for disabling your target. In the event of an apocalypse, you probably wouldn't use a bolas to stop someone. You'd hit him/her with a rock and tackle him/her, or you would use something like a boomerang (which is actually a lot easier to use and craft).
Plus on top of it all, bolas are meant for much closer range than something like a spear or boomerang.
