Hello Guys or maybe hello Rust Developer i have a huge fps issue. On Maxed Settings (Full HD) i have 20 - 40 fps. But mostly 32 fps with huge drops. I noticed it a long time ago. Even on LOWEST Settings (Every setting on 0) i still have the same FPS. No improvement. But this is impossible. A friend of mine has a pc that is worse than mine and he has stable 50+ FPS with maxed settings. My PC: Intel Core I5 2500k @4.3 Ghz Asus GTX 660 TI TOP (Overclocked) 8 GB Ram AsRock z77 Pro4 This is a standard Gaming PC! I have in GTA 5 with high- very high settings 40-60 fps. I also set different Launch Settings. No Improvement. Please Help me. I know its still in early Alpha but its a big issue. I am not the only one with this problem. Greetings
It's buildings. Most people have the same issue. When I join an empty server or am on a beach near no player built structures, I get 50-60 FPS easily. As soon as I wander inland and start seeing houses I lose many frames. There's not really much you can do other than compromise graphics for better frames until buildings are optimized better.

I see people pulling off 60 FPS while also streaming and it irks me cuz I know I should be pulling 60 FPS too. If there is something that can be done about it, nobody has figured it out yet. =\

(sorry for my bad english)

It will take time and the best thing we can do is provide feedback that's as informative as possible. I understand the frustration because I upgraded my rig specifically to get better frames in Rust and I still don't get what I was hoping for. In time it will come.

I think they can achive more if they only work on the performance (bad english i know :D)
Premature optimization is the root of all suffering. IT development isn't the same as game development. The game's foundations are being changed. If the devs put time into optimizing performance, that work might all have to go out the window as the system gets changed again and invalidates the optimization work. It actually works out to wasted time and they might end up achieving LESS. For that reason, it is not first or even second priority by the devs. The devs have their priorities, and your priorities aren't the same. If you're trying to play an alpha for enjoyment and expect a smooth 60fps as if it's a finished game, your expectations are a bit high.
