I was an admin, i got banned becouse the owner can't stand losing an argument, and what an interesting argument... he insulted me and i just told him he wasn't being professional.
I just felt like sharing my opinion about what my experience was about on the server, wich except for that episode was quite good, you shouldn't try to start the whole story, its a waste of time for the both of us.
This is a great server, by far the best i have found! Very active, helpful, and friendly staff. This is my new server of choice, come join us!

Yeah like i said, my experience overall on the server was quite good, ecluding excluding the episode i had as an admin, wich shouldn't count for a normal player
I used to play on Dreadcraft before it started the retail server and I had no lags most of the time. People playing on the server were cool and I enjoyed playing with them.
But my experience with the lead admin was pretty bad. The server had problems pretty often and I wouldn't mind that but the lack of communication, apparent censorship and strange things happening around made me quit. If you're that type of person who just don't care about drama behind the scenes then yeah this server is cool. If you do mind that one day bunch of admins get banned and silenced while trying to inform the community about what happened then run 'cause this is far from professionally handled server.
I explained this in a little bit more detail on dreadcraft forums. I used the same nickname as I'm trying to be as honest as possible. I mean no disrespect but this is the stuff I would want to know before I dedicated a lot of my free time to a server.

Your Admin name? Oh wait Nakamura? The guy that went on an emotional rampage spree because he could not handle a "temporary" suspension from the Admin rank? If you are unable to conduct your self in a sensible manner without causing mass drama, you should not be a admin in the first place.

The amount of players we had to deal with resulted in us not being able to get to everyone. When there are 2-3 admins and 60+ players that require help whether it is whitelist, technical or simply player reports related, it is rather hard to make sure everyone is happy and fully satisfied. I am not sure what sort of censorship you are talking about. Abusive behavior usually was allowed depending how severe (usual insults is something that happens in FPS communities hence we did not censor it). The only censorship I can think of is advertising other servers or simply being racist.

Also no, only one admin got banned after he was unable to handle a demotion. The first admin (RasmusOP) was banned due to abusive behavior (command abuse). It seems that some of the players have only seen the loudest minorities view on the actual matter.

Just an update for the central European players about the ping.
Playing from the [B]UK [/B]gives me about [B]110-150 [/B]ping which is totally manageable. Once you start hitting mid/high 200s you might experience delays between actions.

Good friendly community staff makes it their mission to ensure players have an opportunity to play Rust without hackers. They do this to the best of their ability because we all know that it's very difficult to prevent hackers at the moment from playing and ruining our experiences.
The admins on the server are power hungry.

I registered just to say this: the admins are definately not powerhungry.
They are in for a laugh, but didn't abuse anything I've seen in the months I've been playing here, neither on the old server.
Would definately recommend this server and it's friendly community!

My friend and I were about to raid a base when we noticed it was already being raided. We killed one of the apparent raiders. That raider had 10 c4. My friend took the c4 an ran. I tried to run, but apparently this raider was an admin named -Suprm- in game. He teleported me back to him multiple times, turned invincibility on, and killed me with his "uber hatchet" in order to take back his c4, which only my friend had.
We didn't know he was an admin until he started messing with me. Turn out he was destroying walls on request of the guy he was with.

What he did was wrong. He even said that the c4 he had on him "shouldn't be in the game." He claimed that if we didn't return the 10 c4 our lives on the server would be regrettable.
Why couldn't he just own up to his mistake instead of causing us trouble? He acted immaturely about the whole situation even while the server admins are claimed to be "Adult."
So I guess when I said admins I meant 1 admin in particular. I'd also like to note that we did in fact give the c4 back after some time just to appease this admin.
The confusion at first was understandable but when he explained the situation and told you to return the c4 you shouldn't have run away with it. He was assisting another player as an admin... I feel his actions were justified in retrieving the items that shouldn't have been in circulation.
I agree that he was justified in retrieving the c4. That's why my friend returned it. I ran away initially because I thought he was merely hacking and trying to impersonate an admin.
The problem I have is that he threatened to abuse his powers to make me and my friend hate being on the server. All we did was kill a random guy that ended up being an admin.
Also, why not change the rules if the admins WILL in fact spawn c4 and teleport people?
taran stop being silly. you were wrong in every sense in that situation after he explained the situation to u. grow up. i just joined the server when that happened and have no loyalties to the admins or server. as a neutral audience to the situation, you were wrong.

1) You kept running away after I told you I was an admin and demanded that you return the C4. After about 1-2 hours you returned it.
2) How is this power hungry, I am rather confused about that :/
3) I spawned C4 to destroy a pillar (Jookz later gave me a tip that there is a command which gives you 1 hit destroy ability when toggled). I teleported you 10-20 meters back from your current position, hardly anything to get mad over.
4) You killed me 3 times, after the 2nd time I even typed in global...
I thought this situation was behind us, why re-create all this? Nevertheless, thank you for the bump.

1) I used VOIP and told you multiple times and even wrote in the Global.
2) Own up to what? I should have had god mod enabled. Appease me? The C4 did not belong to you in the first place, you should have given it back straight away.
Did you loose any items? Did I kill you and taken all your items and ran? No, so what's the problem? :/
