Having troubble finding a server with a good community

I prefer the pvp servers but when I play on them I expect to kill people around my level (e.g. same sort of stuff maybe his is a bit better than mine). I don't like killing or when others kill new players which is why I find it hard to find a good community. Every server I join seems to have a bunch or people or groups of people who just go around and kill people, I don't see the point in it, when I'm killing animals with a bow I'm constantly killed by guys with m4's for the reason that "They felt like it" or "They thought me shooting animals with a bow was a threat to them". I have only ever found one server that had good admins and a community that didn't kill new spawns for the fun of it, but that server must have shut down because it's just disappeared from my history.

I'm probably going to take a break from rust because right now it has one of the worst communities in a game, Even on the pve servers people just build around my house with pillars in the centre of foundations to annoy me. Pretty much I'm getting sick of having to join servers, get a bow, get shot, get another bow, get shot.... and so on. Has anyone else had a problem with the community on both the pvp and pve servers or am I just having bad luck?

I think you are having some bad luck. The server I play on has been wonderful so far. ive been playing it on and off the past couple of weeks and have been killed on sight maybe once. A group attempted to raid me (they had no c4), but others on the server raided them for being raiders and they quit the server.
The server has a low population, but is growing everyday. The most I have seen is 13 on at a time. The server is vanilla and has 50% craft time. It is based in Chicago. If you are interested in playing on it press F1 in the game and type: net.connect rust.strangled.net:28025

go into your account setting son the forums and turn private messaging on so people can message you recommended servers. We aren't allowed to advertise our servers in posts like these.
