How often do you visit radtowns? Meaning, if you come out, how long do you wait until you go back in. Do they get refreshed after an airdrop?
Everytime I go in I seem to be left with a torch or code lock bp in the crates, and nothing good.
Also, do you find different loot in different radtowns or are they randomized.
Reason being I am on a gun blueprint hunt. My neighbor shoots the hell out of me everything I harvest wood and I need some revenge...
Gun BP's are rare but you do find them in the rad town crates, not sure what the respawn time is though.
I found 2 rifle bps in small rad. Had a small shack and used to camp it a lot. Respawn rate for crates is 20-30 mins.
followup question to experimental branch vets:
Do radtown [I]barrels[/I] spawn rarer items vs. the normal barrels?
and also, does the "tiny" radtown, the one with the shipping containers spawn any crates or just the barrels?

1. Rusty barrels inside radtowns, according to my experience, give identical loot to rusty barrels on the island. However, you only find trash cans inside rad towns, and I have the impression trash cans give different loot, probably better loot. I am not sure, but I think chocolate, apples and berries are far more likely to drop from trashcans then barrels. But I've never found guns or ammo inside either barrels or trash cans.
2. All radtowns spawn barrels, trashcans, weapon crates and shipping containers, but in different quantity. The abandoned house is smaller and has fewer spawns, and the abandoned town, more.
