• Rust hacking plague...

I'm going to try and make this civilized but it's going to be really hard. Every server i go to, hackers find their way onto it eventually (never fails). Today, after putting over 100 hours into SUNNY SERVER, hackers came on in full. They aim bot, speed hack, shoot through walls, fly, etc. I feel like it's such a problem, it makes the game broke. I don't want to play this game anymore. I love the game but i never raged more when hackers basically come and steal my life from me. Why does steam VAC suck so goddamn bad? How can hackers be allowed full reign on an online game? This needs to be fixed, or this game will always be remembered for the hackers in it and not the content and gameplay.
VAC gathers data and tracks "hack" usage to ban cheaters in bulk. There is NO miracle anti cheat that stops hacks and cheats 100% of the time when they happen. When the experimental branch is further along and becomes the standard branch there will be an additional anti cheat, but common sense says that while that will help, it too isn't going to completely stop cheating. Its nice that you tried to be civil, but making threads like this doesn't help as they are well aware of the problem, but lack a "disable all cheat and prevent them form ever working again" button.
I understand that there will always be hackers; I'm not totally naive. lol But I play Xbox (Queue the PC elitist ragers) and It is absolutely rare to see hackers while i play. So Microsoft is doing something right because I've been playing since the original Xbox and still consider it extremely rare. I'd consider myself a PC gamer also (with over 1000 dollars of games on Steam alone) and I find cheating very prevalent. There are too many ways for people to manipulate the system and I think there needs to be something done. I've had like 20 people report the people on that rust server, I even screenshotted the game with Steam of the hackers admitting they hack and told us to leave the server if we dont like hackers. Annnnnnd Steam still doesn't ban them. It's an absolute miracle that they don't get banned. It seems almost impossible for them to actually get banned. I know there is no miracle anti-cheat, but there needs to be something. I mean, anything... holy shit i feel like there is not anything stopping hackers from infesting on that game.
They don't care about legacy anymore.

Can't compare the two. Rust is in alpha state. The current version is not even supported by the devs. You have to accept that hacking will be everywhere, or wait until the new updated experimental version which will have support by the dev team.
