So I pulled out a rifle while I was adjacent to a tree, facing it. This was the result:

If I looked down, the tree would force me to run backwards. That's why I have to look up when moving forward. The tree disappeared when I put the gun away, and I couldn't get that glitch to repeat. I have no idea how it happened :)
I couldn't figure out how to make the actual video appear in the forum, so I apologize about that.
