Hi. So, I have an opinion that may spark controversy, but it just an idea of mine. One thing that sort of irritates me is that we obviously can't play this game 24/7. There are some days, or even a span of quite a few days, that we cannot log-in at all due to real life priorities. That being said, here is my idea that would keep the survival aspect of the game in-tact but would also slightly help those of us that cannot dedicate our entire life to being online to defend our home/base.
Idea: Pre-planned home security time slots.

Between midnight and midnight each day, you can select a certain max time frame, i.e. 6 hours.. where your base could be more resistant to explosives. You could debate on the percentage, but maybe say 50% more resistant.
The idea behind this would be that if you are online, you will obviously be engaging in combat to prevent someone from breaking into your home. On top of combat, you can try to repair walls, place new walls and barricades, etc, to stop raiders. When you are not online, it is way too easy to be totally cleaned out... its one thing to go down fighting, but it seems somewhat discouraging to log in after sleeping only to find everything gone.
With this 50% increase in home defense strength during a pre-set time, it would require a lot more explosives to penetrate multiple walls, doors, levels, etc... and you would at least have a chance that you could log on with a couple rooms still in tact when the enemy runs out of explosives. In other words, it would make people actually have to earn it instead of just ignoring the online people and finding all the offline people to raid without being able to defend themselves.
In one sense it would encourage people to attack players more that are online... and in another sense, it wouldn't stop, but would rather prevent as many offline raids as we see now, since it would deplete explosive supplies more.
The mechanism to implement this would be the tricky part.. perhaps a craftable terminal you could mount on each 1x1 room to set the time somehow. and then you'd have to set it no sooner than 24 hours prior to when you want it to start so you cant just set it DURING a raid.
I guess the other idea, and perhaps simpler idea, would just be to increase the resistance by a certain percentage any 1x1 room with a door whose owner has been offline for 30 minutes or more.
I know this will be controversial, but it just seems there needs to be a little more balance between how easy it is to get raided, especially while offline, and the ability to defend your home. Personally it seems way too easy to me to blow through walls. Seems to me that only doors should be penetrable, besides on the little shacks.
