Hoowdy there communiteh.
So after i got raided couple times when there was no holes in my walls, i started thinking how that happend.
Basicly there's a bug that lets you go shoot/kill/put sleepingbags through walls, so that makes rust unplayable right now.
EDIT: Of course i noticed sleeping bags scattered across my house.
EDIT2: I forgot to add that i've accutally saw it somewhere too(don't want to post it).
Eeh', do realise they can craft a wall and put it in there?
Yea, someone probably blew down a wall and then replaced it. It's rather common. Causes mass confusion and funny threads about it like this.
Well, i've found how to do this bug by myself, and it accutaly works.
confirmed u can place sleeping bags thru walls for atleast a week now\
its amazing what you can see if u play enough hours

The glitch that is described in the thread you linked only works on servers with a particular sanity check turned off, one should probably avoid those servers anyways.
With the sanity check turned on (like it is by default) attempting to remove that file and walk through a door/wall will DC you from the server.
It does work on servers with sanity turned on too. I'm a server admin, my server is with sanity on and we banned a guy doing this just a hour ago!

Yeah if it's really that bad, I haven't encountered it personally. But before I will I hope Garry sees this.
Bastwiest, basicly anyone who can afford to get a sleeping bag can raid you without any problems at all.

Ive been raided using this once. And our server has like 5 people with bases inside mountains. Worst part is you cant shoot them, but they can shoot you.
Theres also a glitch that allows you to spawn into other peoples beds. You cant take anything in with you, most likely wont get out either. But you can destroy everything that was in the room with the bed.
This bug has been around for a long, long time, lol

There's this bug where you can place 2 C4 on a wooden wall, gain entry to a base, clean it out, drop your sleeping bags all throughout the base, slap a new wooden wall on the hole you made and troll the bajeezus out of the poor sots.

So you place a sleeping bag through a wall, suicide, now you're naked and trapped in their base without c4? I still don't see how you can get away with their stuff without c4 in this situation. Please explain.

Many bases will have some C4 in them to help you bust your way back out... people aren't using these exploits on little 1x1s for some extra wood and metal, they're doing it on the big bases to get some firepower.
Also, since you can place a chest through the wall, you can transfer your items through that way.

You don't even need crates, you can gather thrown out items through wall &tested&
