Storage Box Gone?

I have a quick question. I have checked 3 different RUST wiki sites, asked people on the server, and still cannot find an answer.

So, with all the connection issues going on the last few days, I finally was able to login about 30 minutes ago. I was in my house. My sleeping bag, workbench, camp fire, all my walls, 2 hidden stashes, and my metal door were all intact. Yet, my Wooden Storage Box was gone. It had a lot of ore/frags/armor/ammo/etc. in it. What happened to it? Do these storage boxes also degrade like Wood Shelters do?

I figured that someone could have tried to use explosives or grenades to get in and the AOE damage killed it, but only one of my walls was needing repair (and only like 80 health was missing). I am dumbfounded. Can anyone enlighten me as to what caused my storage box to spontaneously disintegrate?

i would say someone blown ur house, just a wall, and took it and destroid it, but then him, or someone else, placed a new wall for some weird reason, maybe!:)

Not likely tho... why wouldn't they just kill me and take my gun? Why not take from stash?

Also, my house is in the mountains and surrounded by rock on three sides. The only way in is the front metal door or the ceiling. It wasn't the ceiling (for obvious reasons).

Something tells me there is a bug or something I'm not getting? Anyone else have any ideas?

Everything decays and disappears. Your boxes got old and where not repaired in time.

uh storage boxes decay if there not on a foundation but if the box is very dark its damaged and needs to be repaired.

Thanks... that is what I was asking (if storage boxes decay).

With that said, how stupid that I cannot login for 2 days straight (tried constantly) and my boxes decay. Just my fucking luck.

I was under the impression that decay took longer than that. Some cheaters are still able to loot through walls, but I haven't heard of people being able to destroy things through walls.

I wonder if someone used an explosive and the proximity blew up the box. Then they either gave up on the entry attempt (after losing loot opportunity) or ran out of explosives.
