About 1 month ago i started to use of the high shade setting: the 90% of the players use this setting to cheat in the night and it is so awful, infact if you don't use this "cheat",you are very disadvantaged between who use it. My request is: devs,do something that will resolve this fucking, awful, terrible, fastidious and boring cheat/bug. ps=i said that because if everyone would use this cheat, night and day should not be to exist.
My request is: use the search button for the forum and you will see 10.000 more useless topics like yours. Patience , stuff will change in time ,including this .
This is another example of something in the game that, while not very true to reality, cannot be considered cheating because anyone can do it simply by adjusting their video settings. I do it, and I expect everyone else to do it as well. That being said, I would like to see this prevented somehow; I just can't think of a practical way to do it. I suppose they could add some sort of "fog" that acts similar to deepfog on Minecraft, limiting sight distance, but how would that interact with light sources? I imagine it would really take a toll on the frames per second, as well. Still, it'd be nice to see torches and flashlights put to use again.
I don't. I failed your expectations Dad.
Subtle particle affect at night would help the issue, as raising gamma would make the particle effect more intense, making the screen blindingly fuzzy, and rendering the cheat ineffective. I feel like it's a cheat because it's using something outside the software client to bypass mechanics set in place by the devs to gain an advantage, just like using a mouse script to bypass gun recoil, or injecting binary files to change your running speed or aiming calculations. The devs made night dark on purpose, using something to make it not dark at night circumvents what the devs implemented, and is a cheat, imho. Should it be banworthy? Probably not. But is it cheap and a pussy move? I think so. But to each their own.
