My Rust-gift copy has become only available for Russia

i got this game by trading it like a month ago, and it was region-free. Today, looking at my inventory, I've just discovered that now i can't activate it. What's wrong? Why is now only available for Russia?

I want my money back, or my gift copy region-free.

change your region in steam to russia, activate the game.. and change it back. That worked for my friend who had a copy of another game only for china.
