• Allow players to specify OTHER player name's text color?

What if I could type (in chat command): /friendly_JimmyJohn and then, whenever I saw JimmyJohn in game his player-name would be green. Neutral/un-designated players would still be white. /bandit_JimmyJohn would result in that player having a red player name whenever you encountered them. Assume the flag would be specific to steam id, so the player couldn't simply change their name to lose the color. It would of course only be a client-side flag, so nobody else would see a change in player-name color unless they similarly flagged the same player. For example, JimmyJohn might be a "friend" to me but a "bandit" to you. Of course people may resort to using names like: $5124@$51&&&^%^ to reduce the chance you are able to successfully flag them. While I do very much appreciate the fact the game itself does not impose "bandit" tags on players, and leaves the morality up to each individual player, it would be nice if-- in a fight-- I could tell who the hell is on my damn team when everyone is wearing Kevlar and running around like chickens with their heads cut off. One drawback might be people saying in chat: "Everyone flag JimmyJohn as a bandit, he's a bad man." You could get an undeserved reputation just by other players defaming you, which is probably a bad effect. However, there are some good effects, too. Please discuss.
I pretty like this idea. And it's still within the freedom concept. But it's useless for long distances.
It probably should be useless at long distances-- though I suppose it could be changed to a "green dot" that hovered over friendly players and was visible from a distance. I don't really think that is necessary. If you aren't close enough to make out "facial features" its probably unrealistic to use ESP to know who is who.
