Unknown EAC Ban. - Rust - Facepunch Forum

Was able to to connect after last night's update and play through the evening. Can anyone provide me deeper insight into this?

Odd. EAC has a site dedicated to submitting appeal requests. Be honest, were you using any third party programs or mods in any EAC enabled game?

No but I tend to leave random programs open up frequently. FTP, multiple connections to other PC's, and my GPU driver has been crashing like crazy since I upgraded. Do you know where I could find the EAC appeal site/link?

You won't have much of a case. I think it is time to own up to your mistakes. Be an adult and just admit you cheated.

I appreciate your time in automatically assuming I was hacking. I appreciate your deliberate and most certainly not passive aggressive tone. As you can ask the players on my servers, I don't even play the game, I just admin, so I don't have any necessity to hack. And to mention other EAC enabled games, I only have g-mod, which I barely even play.

Well here is the thing... I am assuming that a program, created to identify and detect other programs and means to modify and/or inject code/data into another program, isn't mistaking your FTP program as a hack.

On the plus side you provided your steam urlin your first post. I really hope, for future's sake, you are not another paid cheat user trying to play innocent until elix, eac knubbe or sma utterly devastate your lies.

EAC has their own website, but they also browse here and sometimes respond to threads, since there's no public lookup for the EAC banlist.

Yeah it was implied that I was banned when I posted the imgur link. I didn't deny I was banned. I deliberately said that I was banned when I open the thread.

Just for the record, EAC will most likely not reveal the exact thing that triggered the ban. If they did, then people would know that the "undetectable" hack they are running was in fact detected and thus inform the cheat sites of such.

It does not hurt to ask - but for the record, you have made your case already, and nothing more needs to be said here unless a representative from EAC makes their presence known. I recommend not really saying anything more at this point to anyone else. You are either a hacker, or you are not. So that means that only you and EAC matter - the opinions of everyone else are essentially moot without evidence, so I say avoid the flame-war(s) by not responding to them for now. :P

Google their website, and if no other appeal info, you can use the contact link on their page. They should reply to you.

EAC DOES have false positives, so does VAC. It happens, but most of the time the matter is looked into as it is flagged differently and the ban reversed.
