Dehydration is at an all time high. Naked bald men everywhere are going thirsty, and even hungry more quickly than ever in this world! Small bodies of water tease them with the thought of being able to drink it, only to cause them to freeze to death in a matter of minutes.

Wouldn't it be wonderful if we could craft this sucker for X cloth and Y wood(or like 10-15 metal fragments, from say...a Bean Can) or something? Have it be refillable at non-ocean bodies of water. I realize there's probably some coding for water needed before this can be a thing, but the art has been siting around waiting for this perfect moment.
Especially since using meat when you're full on HP and hunger, just for the 20 hydration it gives, feels like such a waste.
Nice idea! always having low hunger and hydration bars sets off my OCD, I want them FULL I say, FULL
Love the idea!
With them turning the metabolism back on I'm wondering how long I can survive in my server without finding bottled water. You'd think a quick swim or a cup of water from a lake would be good enough.
I also really want them to include a shower or make it where swimming can reduce radiation quicker.
Hello Thor-Axe, I've suggested that on reddit but people don't give a fuck about this. They only think about raiding and fixing raiding. Hope developers see this or the community see this as an important thing.

Yes! Also, I drank a water bottle I found in a barrel last night and I swear it only raised my dehydration by like 2 points or something ridiculous. It was definitely less than food.
Since the Monday update, I've been raiding 2 rad towns and a rad house at regular intervals through the day, and I've curiously gotten not a single bottle of water compared to the rather high drop rate I would get before. Hopefully this won't be the case now that metabolism has been turned on.
Unfortunately, I haven't been able to test that out. The 3 servers I play on have been unable to accept connections since yesterday's update.
Yeah I was pretty surprised to find when metabolism was added, that no changes to the water bottle stats were made. We really need something dedicated to managing thirst since we've already got hunger taken care off.
Was looking to bring this up as a new thread but glad to see I'm not alone. Sure right now hydration doesn't matter but maybe it should. Rust isn't just a survival game, but the survival aspect is a big part of it, and water is quite literally key to survival. Better to playtest the hydration sooner rather than later.
Bota bags, water bottles, and barrels are already in the game. The radial menu could even get drink option when standing in (fresh) water.

north, try not to resurrect threads that are older than a few days unless you have something REALLY relevant to say in them; just make a new thread. i've seen 5 threads revived by you that the latest post is at least 2 months old so far today.
Sorry, you need to Log In to post a reply to this thread.
