Hi, I play rust in windowed mode, are there any launch parameters / program or anyway that i could make the game popup in a specific resolution?
don't know where the config files on windows are but on linux its in:
~/.config/unity3d/Facepunch Studios/PlayRust/prefs
and theres parameters:
<pref name="Screenmanager Is Fullscreen mode" type="int">0</pref>
<pref name="Screenmanager Resolution Height" type="int">1080</pref>
<pref name="Screenmanager Resolution Width" type="int">1920</pref>
i think windows version has same config file somewhere in the AppData?
havent used windows for 7 years so not really sure.
When you open it up from steam you should be prompted with a little screen that says "Resolution" and "Graphics" on it, and on the side it should have a check box. Uncheck it to get out of windowed mode. If you're not getting the little screen, I don't know what you did. :V
... :) i want a specific resolution, that is not on the dropdown list
Why not just resize it?
Steam Launch Options: -popupwindow
Gives you fullscreen borderless :)
do you think i'd post this thread if i wanted that solution?
the game window is resizable in windowed mode... just drag the borders

That solution was better then no solution. And it's probably a lot easier to handle, as well. I recommend "That" solution until a better one comes up here.
