Every time I either join a server or click the wake up button my game crashes... How can I fix this or is it a game issue?

Its still playable but the loading time is now like 500% more then before
I can't even play, even after waiting 10 minutes to get in the game. I'm planning on buying more memory on Monday to see if it helps matters.
This morning I had to restart the PC because the computer just froze. Not something I like doing when the hard disk light is constantly on :/
I can normally run it on beautiful graphics with no problems but now it wont even work.
