... as soon as i finish loading and wake up.
Arma 3, Star Citizen and other Games work just fine.
It ran with the old card but was very ugly ofc.
8GB Ram and octa buldozer.
((im writing this for a friend))
FIXED!!
Yo guys. It is fixed. We just got him another Power Supply.
His was a A-Power 750W PSU but a really shitty one that couldn't handle much stuff.
The new 650W 80Plus PSU makes Rust run just perfectly. Thanks guys!
Maybe it because of the software drivers you have installed? Nvidia release some new updates, also you can edit the exe files of rust to increase the preformance of the game, maybe it works or .. have some effect on the freezings.
buy a better pc
this doesn't even make any sense what
[editline]5th November 2015[/editline]
its because rust is optimized like a turd, early access does that to a game
[editline]5th November 2015[/editline]
also, should reinstall drivers to either the latest or older drivers. Try both, clean install.
http://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx?lang=en-us
Clean installs can work sometimes. I know in some cases that running the game in direct x 9 can help a lot also. Some older gpu cards dont support the newer direct x versions.
i did a clean install though teamviewer on his pc.
he told me he received the card so we uninstalled
the old ati drivers, plugd the card out and new in
and installed the newest nvidia drivers.
and to s1N1x. the 950 is a pretty new low budged card even capable of dx12.
ofc its not a beast but he couldnt afford any better than this.
and as i said, he runs star citizen on high and arma 3 on medium fine during battles.
i know for myself with an gtx 970 that rust is very demaning
BUT the 950 should AT LEAST be able to run it, since REALLY
intense game run ALL fine.
Perhaps older drivers would have more luck. Try down about 6 or so versions, on a stable release.
you can find them in "Beta and Older Drivers"
I just linked him the oldest version but since this is a newer card... they are not really old. i add a response later.

I know.. but you can at least try it to run the game with direct x 9 right? Maybe his card can handle the rust graphics then better.
What you mean with a clean install? Just uninstalling the ATI driver isnt enough. There wil be plenty of files left behind. Try cleaning the ATI driver with DDU http://www.wagnardmobile.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=123
Boot into safe mode and run the program.
what watt power supply do you have? that can play apart with your computer freeze. The new card might require more power then you have.

yeah 750 Watt. its not the PC thats the issue. Everything else runs fine no matter how heavy.
(and the gtx950 is 90w)

We just did that. Didn't change it. But this time he was able
to run a few meters and shittalk newmans. Worth it.
I told him, if it crashes again to send me the BSOD stuff he gets:

Sorry just my sick sense of humour, I'm old.

I may be german but that wont change anything here.
Can you guys please help my friend? He really wants to play Rust.
Stop code 0x124 (0x00000124) is a problem of Windows and hardware fighting.
1) Make sure temperatures are not excessive. Disable any overclocking of any kind (including CPU).
2) Completely uninstall all graphics drivers from the machine, reboot, and then install the latest Nvidia drivers
3) Do all critical Windows Updates if any are pending (only ones that are checked by default - the optional ones aren't needed), and reboot after if any are installed
4) Stick in a Windows DVD, open a command prompt with administrator permissions, and run this command:
sfc /scannow
Reboot when done and try again.
Also, don't launch Rust with TeamViewer running, either way.
1) Nothing OC'd. CPU's Heat paste is also new, right when we plugd in the new GPU.
2) We did that today, a clean install of oldest and newest drivers.
3) I dont think that will change a thing.
My Rust works with Teamviewer. Nvm.
Still, my friends Rust wont work. Any ideas?
You don't think it'll change a thing? Then I can't help you.
Don't ask for help if you won't listen.
Don't ask for help if you won't listen.
I did listen to everything. Thanks for your help elix.
I would just reinstall windows and work from there. Only install the basic software/drivers (chipset driver-videocard driver-updating the OS and directx). Install rust and test.
is it overheating?
a fan-controller software was pretty much required for mine- but there was no initial mention of it. Dropped my temps 30 degrees
if it's a GTX 950 like mine, could be an EVGA, if it is, look up 'EVGA Precision' software. It's free
