While your game is open, Press F1. In console, type in [B]net.connect 216.245.193.90:28085[/B]

This will connect you to the server.

I've built a bunch of large to small towns, some hidden in the hills, most plainly seen on the roads. All doorways are available for anyone to takeover and put down their own door.
