the possible cause for the current memory issues and server lags could've been found. The developers told us that a Map Wipe would resolve this issue.
So, when you're facing this issue, please try to wipe your map and see if the issues still persist.
is this important?
we wiped yesterday?
Make sure you have done a full wipe after the most recent update. And don't restore the old map from backup, either. Doing that hurts performance badly.
and why?
you dont bring me arguments for this?

Please provide a link to developers statement. I also don't understand if you are asking us if its important. Are you asking us if you wiped yesterday? I need to see more information on this before I just wipe an entire server.
our server wiped after the update, still crashes every 30 minutes to 2 hours do to memory.

Here's why:
Hey guys,
Harry from Nitrous Networks here;
Unfortunately due to the 6th of Feb Rust update, we have had to enforce this.
Rust servers that had been updated and were using old world files had been pushing 15% CPU of the entire node, after a reset, it was between 1 and 5.
Right after the update, 80% of our nodes went to 100% CPU and we had a real problem restoring them all.
elixwhitetail is 100% correct, with an Alpha game, you just need to expect it.
Regards,
Harry
P.S. try searching next time.
special thanks mate
