What you look for in a server? Admins, community, friends, location ect..

Hi guys, I'm just seeking a little knowledge of what most people look for in a server? From my experience at the moment most of us are looking for a server of admins with a great deal of integrity and respect. What else do you look for when choosing a server? What makes you coming back to that one? Is rust++ the preferred mod or another one? I'll be launching a server in the next few weeks and I'm looking to provide the best experience possible. Also I'm looking for a few select individuals who would like to help me admin and run the community. Please add me to steam or email me.

Look for a server with good ping, admins who do not teleport people or spawn anything, who are aggressive with bans (and not afraid to unban if necessary).

All in all, you need to show you care and you are willing to go the extra mile for people. When the suicide hack was out, I did as much research on it as possible. Once I found out if was a fall hack, I turned fall damage off (long before it was common knowledge to have to do so).

Be around, be present, make sure people know you are around, and if necessary, get a team of admins for full coverage as much as possible.

Have a set of rules, like no vac banned players, etc, and be fair and just in the decisions you make.

We run a clean server with zero abuse. No matter what you do, if you play the game and other people get killed or raided by you, they will cry abuse, no matter how good of a job you've done to have a sterling reputation as being fair.

I would only try a server if the admins do not spawn anything in, for whatever reason. Not only that but servers that have an active community and are active in-game in general, moderating the server for griefers (spammers) and hackers.

Love the above post. I appreciate all the input. I figured people would cry that no matter what. What about limiting admin control to kick/ban only and only having one admin that control everything else.
