I just don't know whether I'm slowly getting insane or there is indeed some kind of depth of field in this game (there's no option for that @ F2 however)
When there is dof in the game I wonder if it's broken right now. Sometimes things far away get drawn extremely blurry, but sometimes it's not that blurry.
There doesn't seem to be a rule behind.
In general the game is currently a bit too blurry I think. I don't know if it's intended to create a more soft and cinematic look - that would be sad.
Generally I love how PC games (no ports) usually look - crispy sharp.
So I'm here asking myself whether it's intended like it is right now or not. And I'm not too sure whether the experimental branch always looked blurry.
How do you feel about the amount of blur?
I woudl love if they could make it look like CoD; Modern Warfare ONE (NOT ONE OF THE SHITTY ones after it!) ,
Pretty realistic but the most fluid FPS I have ever played. To have that in an "open world" FPS with crafting, building and all in between sounds like a dream.
Personally I like the legacy Rust style better, it might though be just because I have less frames in the experimental one so far.
Everything to me also seems to be less sharp, maybe it is some forced AA? That we have no option to disable at the moment?

AA can be disabled via the F2 menu
or via the console command F1
effects.aa false
the blur is worse on some tool than others the bone knife is just blur when moving and is not affected by the blur options.
Edit: some more commands :) might help

Thanks for that list. Effects.ao must be ambient occlusion I guess, but I see no depth of field there. I'm wondering what effects.gibs is though.
Look at these two screenshots, escpecially the second one:

What's not focussed is somewhat blurred out. I think that doesn't play out well right now.
I don't think the AA is responsable for all the blur. But I will try to disable it and see if that helps.
that is not the complete list in console type "find ."
for full list. it needs the . after find
I get motion blur still with everything turned off. It doesnt seem to be hurting performance but it is kind of an eyesore.
It would be nice to be able to disable motion blur -- I've never been a fan of it myself.
