Hello err'body.
I know people will cry about this because 2 bow shots can kill a full kevlar person but, similar to the Bolt Action Rifle, the fire rate is VERY BAD and the time between aiming+shooting is too long.
So, with that said, people that don't wanna be too noisy (I know there are silencers but you know the bow is not as loud as a silenced shot) or that like to use bows, why not help these people? Not only for PvPing but also for killing zombies (Bears now, if I'm correct?).

I don't know what game this is and I don't really care all I know is that, when I saw this I really had to post it here.
Could the devs consider adding a crosshair/aim to our old wooden bows? Or even, creating a new bow with this aim already built-in (like on the image) as a new weapon, where you need to find the blueprint to craft it or find it in one box?
It would be cool and would probably disencourage people to use "crosshair cheats". What does the community think of this? Too "OP" ? I hope not.
Bows are fine, learn to aim better. They've already confirmed tighter bow strings for faster arrows, different types of arrowheads, and retrievable arrows. There won't be a crosshair, because they specifically got rid of the crosshair command "exploit" and lamented they couldn't squash all crosshair cheats because some people could just turn on a feature on their monitor to add one or make a dot center screen. So sorry to say we aren't going to be getting a crosshair.
Now a bow sight on the other hand, as an attachment would be workable for them. I think using one would have to exclude you from using some of the other mods. You can't make bows too OP. They're already extremely powerful.
Crosshairs would make the bow duels so much shorter. I have a good 5 minutes facing off against another guy with a bow. We were constantly just missing eachother. Luckily I came out on top as he had an M4 with no bullets in it in his bag.
Super fun. Smiling the whole time haha.
Coudn't have that with an insta snipe to tha dome. Which is what I could do if there was crosshairs.
The bow is my favorite weapon to shoot because of the learning curve. But I never use the since the cost for arrows is not worth it. Pipe shotgun is a better value when grinding orange animals. Arrows should be like one rock one wood for twenty. At least until arrows are retrievable.
Yes I wish they make a attachment for the bow!
i'm hoping that when military grade weapons are phased out & made more scarce, we get lots of new & improved cool primitive weapons. i'm certain that eventually cool bows will come out (with sights on them. crosshairs should not be in the game.) of course they should be costly to make, and it would be cool to make baseline arrows very weak with new blueprint arrows becoming very viable.
i'm optimistic about the game with the new patch, as these stereotypical survival aspects are being phased out. can't wait til guns get put on the backburner and we can get into some awesome primitive combat!
Slightly Off Topic but is that image from Linus video?
That game is Farcry 3 and yes for a bow mod. I think the bow movement with a crosshairs mod should have the same aim ability as playing darts on GTA IV.

Everyone knows dry erase markers are the way to go for 360 no scope action.
they might as well add a crosshair since other people have ways to add their own
No don't put crosshairs in the game EVER, stay the same make it more realistic even. The devs are doing a good job already! I have a hard time shooting stuff but it makes me feel good if I hit something lol.
Those actually hold yardage needles which make sense. The arrow should drop with distance (as should bullets) and it would be nice to at least have the option for a reference when shooting the bow.

Hahaha, you got me, it is! :D
When I said crosshair it was a mistake I made, I confused crosshair with sight/aim, sorry about that. Crosshairs will NEVER be added to the game, hopefully.
Anyway, I really hope primitive weapons (like the bow) can be improved a lot and military-grade weapons are WAY harder to obtain.
I also have a lot of fun with bow fights, I usually win, even against shotguns/hand cannons, I just thought it would be cool to have this kind of mod for bows.
People are really having a tough time hitting things with the bow?
My monitor has a crosshair built-in, I feel like all games should just give crosshair options since new monitors are adding them and others do whatever it takes to draw one on their screen anyway.
When you draw and fire a bow(irl...) you have to get a feel for lining up the tip of the arrow with your target. There are bows with scopes but most sights are distance racks which are hard to calibrate and still have limited range. Those sights aren't crosshairs either, they just give you an idea on how to judge the target's distance from a vertical plane of view. You can place one of the dots exactly on target and miss by not calculating trajectory. This is from a realistic point of view. Not sure on this one, maybe put the firing point closer to the tip of the arrow so aiming is easier? I'm not sure. Compound bows would be tight AF if you ask me, and different arrowheads for different targets would add some depth to the beginner weapon instead of just jumping straight to a pistol because the bow takes some time to master and nobody wants to be in a situation with a weapon they don't know/don't have enough practice to use effectively.

The idea is that the bow needs to be challenging to shoot, as it is quite powerful. A sight would make it OP.
Also, the game is FarCry 3.

People also cheat, does that mean they should put cheats in the game? That is what we call flawed logic, my friend.

I think a bow sight, or even the ability to 'line up' your shot like looking down sights, would be sweet. The difficulty is in hitting a moving target, yes sometimes that can be easy but that is the target's fault for being a easy target. If I'm 40 yards away and facing you, with the bow in game now, if you hit me i musta sucked balls at dodgeball when i was a kid. Because just knowing when you see t he bolt in flight that if you change direction, or just plain stop moving, it's not going to hit you probably. The arrows as is, fly at a snail's pace, and the aiming mechanic requires you to shoot 10-20 arrows before you got a good sense of where they're landing. It is the middle of the screen, but the way the bow model stays off to the side makes it feel to the leftish.

So they should raise the speed of the projectile and make it slightly more accurate, but adding a sight would make it completely overpowered.
I loved the far cry 3 bow. they need to use that system
Anyone who's had to do single point perspective for hours on end already has a crosshair in their mind.
