Bring back white text on ammunition counters.
White ammunition counters maybe hard to see in snow, but black ones are hard to see, just about everywhere, especially with the new night being as dark as it is. (That may have been a bit overkill - since the moon phases - maybe you could make moonlight count for more depending on phase - closer to RL? Cuz you can read by a waxing or full moon - In RUST you can't even see your hands.)
Just nitpicking though. This new patch looks pretty good all around. (Do wish the game favored raiders less, but I'm sure there's a billion threads on that...)
The devblog mentioned the night time not being finished. I would wait for that before asking for a revert, because I don't think its supposed to be that dark
Could be... Still want the white ammo counters fixed - it maybe that only the drop shadow is rendering and not the white text layer. Drop shadows, like the new chat, would be nice. That was a very nice addition btw.
Be nice to be actually able to highlight and copy text, both in chat and in the console, but I suspect that's a fundamental UI change.
i agree with bullet counter but red is better color
and night should be like that its survival not not cool like day in every survival game

Not if you have a red-green color blindness like me and am not the only player who has it.
I disagree with the bullet counter, I am a pureist however and think the closer to reality the better. Even modern firearms for the most part do not have counters and really a decent marksman doesn't need a counter anyway. If you don't know how many times you have fired you weapon your situational awareness needs work.
 Uh hu... They're just dark, not invisible. If yer gonna have em, have em easy to use. ('sides, also applies to all sorts of other stackable stuffs.)
I suppose you could stick an option to disable the counts altogether in the F2 section, if you really wanna be a purest - I think you can disable the HUD altogether.
True but I keep forgetting which slot has my rock in it lol

Sounds like a situational awareness issue

Until there's a way to check how much ammo you have in a mag(because often mags are not full), the counter should stay. Counting manually is useless if you don't even know how much you started with.
The moon should absolutely change the lighting. Yeah, a cloudy, moonless night in the forest is scary dark, but normally the big deal about night is that you can't see nearly as far and in as much detail.

I also am with you on this... However, RUST looks like it's catering to the non-purist survivalist crowd now. I would love to have no counter, guess when to reload, and never know when the gun might jam environment... Players have no patience for that. Just look at the response to the bean can grenade! I personally think RUST needs to be more bean can grenade and less laser sight, reliable, ammo counter weapons... IMO.

Maybe if the counter were a usage bar on the icon? You could get a general idea without knowing the exact number.

Could add a mechanic eventually like Red Orchestra, where you can hold down reload, look at the mag to see how many rounds are left, then put it back in the gun.

Sounds like a solid compromise, and part of the world instead of the interface
