The possibilities are endless for this game. I think they could spend more on player for player interaction in the game.
Imagine being able to build your store market as you builds your home.
The ability to trade items with another person who is close to you. But of course with two people agreeing to change.
With the plates of signals being inserted in the game will be possible, will only miss one mechanism to ensure that fair exchange with the option to accept or not, and the exchange will be made or canceled.
Obviously this could only be done if the person was on your side ... And what guarantees that we will be safe? nothing ... maybe your gun and your friends (armed) ...
It would be dangerous but everyone can be stolen in real life and still sell and exchange things, why not in game? make friends and turn your business into something safe.
Nothing can guarantee that everything will work. That would not be in a safe zone, because the idea of a safe zone is not real, not funny and does not give us excitement.
Leave your comment about the idea and suggestions.
Thank you.
Edit:
You could only exchange items for other items.. Not have coins in the game.
this will probably end up happening using the current game dynamics. for example, setting up a building with a few doors and a trading area, protected by kevs with m4's who take a fee for facilitating the trade.
Your idea is exactly what garry wants to see happen. He wants to see players create their own trading posts and towns and define the terms of their own society.

Don't hold your breath for a secure trading UI, it's likely never going to happen in Rust.
Rust isn't about making you safe, it's about making your own solutions to problems and making hard decisions about trust and perception.
If you don't trust the person you're trading with to throw the right items onto the ground and let you pick them up without trying to kill you, don't trade.
One of the servers I used to play in had a guy who built a really secure building with a sweet front entrance designed to do trades through. The front door only lead to a window which he stood behind and you passed your items through the window. Pretty clever, and he kind of became the 'market' of the server, doing trades with anyone who wanted to.

I might be missing something, but what stopped players from simply jumping through the window and killing him while the trade goods were on him? Cannot pass items through metal bars, either, I do not believe.

He was friendly with most of the server so if anyone did that they basically had the entire server hunting them. Not to mention he had a superior position inside his house so if you're holding a gun you got shot right away.

That makes sense. I typically do my trades through rock suicide homes - they put the items in a chest, and the trade takes place in the safety of a home they cannot get into.
i think it would be cool when most ressources would only be available in some areas so ppl are forced to trade them.
I know this idea comes from Dayz but why not have safezones in the game, they are towns with people that sell all kinds of items, also people can trade there.
edit: Not sure if Rust already has that but I been in a server where the admins created a safezone, don't know how they modified it so that nobody can die in the area but they did.
Rust isn't about making you safe. Make your own safezones by enforcing rules if anyone pulls a weapon out in those safezones.
The point of Rust is for players to create these structures, not have them artificially enforced by code.
Safezone mods already exist, as do friends-list indicators so you can identify friendly players from a long distance and currency mods. None of those are likely to go into vanilla Rust.

Yeah, you're right, nobody is suppose to be safe in Rust.

Agreed

Friends of ours made this on our server, the only thing we did is make it indestructible and non PvP.
But as soon as you left the shop you where on you're own, it was allways a risk going there but it worked.
There where several rooms with a window and a box through the wall. The shop owner is on one end and the buyer the other, they hade to pay with metal ore.
It was realy fun!

lol whats more troll is making paper the currency in the server, people would actually research paper and craft it because they will be able to exchange it for useful things. That way paper has value xD. And of course, paper will be shown and given to an admin so the admin spawns in the item(s) that they want.
