I have to say the new procgen is excellent! Really, really good. There is always a lot of negativity out there, and I'm guilty of a little myself, so I just want to make clear how awesome I think the new landscape looks. Roads look better. Width varies, and sometimes they run through a little water. The grass is thicker and taller, the airport looks more decrepit...the whole thing just looks Rustier. Great job, Facepunch!
Bushes every 5 meters? 3 times taller grass? I tend to disagree lol.

its pipepartyinthebushes on every server the grass gave me huge fps drop since patch so i tend to disagree aswell
I love it! It plays fine on my AMD 7970, i7 3770k,16gb . 45 to 50 fps for the lows. I can live with it, my video card is outdated anyway. I love it! Did i mention that before??....!!!
I have a few players on my server raging about the high grass and how it's "ruined" the game. :goodjob: I think it looks great. Players whose "strategy" consists of rushing a base out in the open will be fucked. Those of us who enjoy stealth will thrive. Should be a huge boost for lone wolves.
Agreed! The new maps look amazing, when walking down the road it feels and looks a lot more realistic, forests look 1000x better, all in all the new procgen is amazing, it's starting to look more like legacy but with waaaaay better graphics, which I think is a good thing. It makes the map look way better and far less barren and boring, there are still barren open fields here and there so what's the big deal? Curious how two different engines can produce the same issue. I actually am getting some of this to.

At least enough to be able to run nearly 2k hours virtually flawless lol No, don't get me wrong. At times I have gotten the meta issues like everyone else and this seems to be one of them to. It isn't bad, just a stuttering I have noticed in areas of taller grass.
the only thing that really bugs me is : If you kill or drop something there is like no chance that youre able to find that item ever again because of that super grass
the only thing that really bugs me is : If you kill or drop something there is like no chance that youre able to find that item ever again because of that super grass
just do this steam/steamapps/common/ rust/cfg/cliant/ in cliant (open with note) change to true ... grass.displace "True" this will make grass disapear were ever u walk
this will make grass disapear were ever u walk
Welp, so much for my snaptrap reign of terror.
