My first post, please don't hate on me if this has been threaded already, I tried searching but the search tool here is whack (for me anyway).
Is it really beyond face punch to delete all the cheat spam on their official site, it is ridiculous and while in alpha I can forgive the game being hacked like it is but the official site being used to advertise them is so so sad.
Is there nothing to be done ?
It's not like there's a single person whose only job is to moderate the blog comments. Hackers will get VAC banned sooner or later, and Google will help them find hacks if they want to find them.
The less attention cast on those comments, the better. Also, maybe you didn't check out both tabs on the search page (hint: look at the top center, not the Labpunch search box in the top right).
Tech companies do have community managers etc, it really can't be that difficult to auto remove posts with so many recurrences of keywords etc.
Anyway, I take note of what you've said.

I've never heard Facepunch Studios describe itself as a "tech company". Also, Rust is in alpha; this isn't some AAA-tier studio employing 500 people. Why hire someone whose only job is to delete spam comments when, uh, anyone on the dev team with moderation access to the blog site (this could just be garry, I don't know) gets around to it. And in the meantime, you can ignore it.
And if you happen to be someone who chooses to ignore the warning on the title screen that cheating will VAC ban you permanently (I'm not saying you are, but anyone who thinks following those hack links is a good idea) will eventually end up with the red badge of shame on their account and a useless Rust license. No legit servers with VAC disabled exist, at the moment. VAC is currently hardwired into all servers.
I meant tech in a very broad sense...
I'm going to learn from Ahab and give up, besides it reflects on Face punch having a comment section on official site littered with adverts for cheats.
Yes they should have a VAC ban , moreover I'd take away their Internet for a few months. Though I realise the difficulties that would entail.
FYI I love the game.
